A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft assigned to the 18th Aggressor Squadron takes off from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Oct. 6, 2014, during RED FLAG-Alaska 15-1. RF-A is a series of Pacific Air Forces commander-directed field training exercises for U.S. and partner nation forces, providing combined offensive counter-air, interdiction, close air support and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment. When 100-mile-an-hour tape won’t cut it- 3m offers “Nuclear Grade” duct tape. It seems to be the tape of choice for repairs around the ol’ nuclear power plant since it’s certified to contain only traces of chlorine, fluoride, bromine and sulfur. Other than that, the stuff offers more strength, cleaner removal and better adhesion than the “Coal Fired Power Plant Grade” tape I get at Home Depot. And it’s only $16 a roll. Downside? Not available in green. (Pic from 3M)
