Trijicon and the National Rifle Association have joined forces to create a championship that will be the ultimate test of competitive shooting ability. Trijicon’s World Shooting Championship will assemble competitors from around the world; including existing and previous champion shooters from virtually every organized shooting sport worldwide, and crown one competitor, “The Trijicon Undisputed World Shooting Champion,” an unmatched distinction.
The four-day event will take place at Peacemaker National Training Center in West Virginia, September 10-13, 2014. The competition will see 400 of the worlds top shooters competing for a grand prize of $50k in cash with another $200k worth of gear on the prize table. The organizers are going to work hard to keep the playing field level and one of the ways they are going to ensure fairness is by requiring all shooters to use the guns, ammo and gear provided at each stage. This alone will make things interesting and really increase the value of the winner’s bragging rights.
