When Bob Thomas said he was putting together a TRX workout for an upcoming Military Muscle column, I immediately called up Tim Hardy.
Tim, a retired Army major, is now an Army territory manager for the TRX Force Team — the company’s military division. He can do these exercises practically in his sleep, and he was my first and logical choice to come demo this workout. He also happens to be the pusher responsible for my TRX addiction.
Yesterday Tim made the more than six-hour drive from upstate New York to Fort Belvoir, Va., where we had arranged to do the shoot. Above, he’s doing TRX atomic pushups, which are not included in the workout, but we wanted to see them anyway. Bob’s workout included TRX Force Tactical Conditioning Program exercises, but also some with which Tim isn’t so familiar.
“I’ve never even done these before,” he joked about Bob’s single-leg, single-arm plank. “People come up with these sinister things, they’re worse than us.”
