Overheard at Warrior Games: “A little more to the left …”

“A little more to the left, guy in the blue hat …”

That was 7-year-old Cassandra Brennan’s advice to Army recurve archer Billy Meeks, delivered from the U.S. Olympic Training Center stands Wednesday.

But for most of the team recurve competition, Cassandra’s eyes were glued to the archer in the red hat.

All those “Go Mommy!” cheers were for Sgt. Jessica Brennan — and they must have helped.

Brennan and teammates, veterans Meeks and Sean Hook, took home team gold.
